WQC Projects 2025-2026
Explore how our software project teams are leveraging quantum computing to tackle real-world challenges.
Project Summary
Team Lead: Amir Orfali
The Quantum Advantage in Quant Finance project investigates how quantum computing can address some of the most computationally expensive problems in modern finance. The project focuses on nested Monte Carlo simulations, a core technique used across finance, risk analysis, and other scientific fields, where classical methods face severe scalability limits as accuracy requirements increase.

By exploring Quantum Amplitude Estimation (QAE), the team studies how quantum algorithms can dramatically reduce error complexity compared to classical approaches. Tasks that would require millions or even trillions of simulations classically can, in principle, be executed far more efficiently using quantum techniques. This project emphasizes both the theoretical foundations and practical implications of quantum speedups in high-value financial applications.
