What We Do:

Our club is separated into three collaborative sub-teams: reasearch team, software team, and the consulting team.

Research

Researchers at WQC learn about the latest developments in the quantum computing world. Our researchers produce detailed reports ranging from the the physics behind Quantum Computers to new laws being implemented due to the threat Quantum computing has on data protection.

Computing Applications

Take a peak at the groundbreaking Quantum computing applications our Engineers have modeled using IBM's QSKIT software. All of our software is open source and shows how the applications of quantum computing can solve real life problems.

Consulting

With teams led by Engineers in a variety of disciplines WQC looks to a make a positive impact on a variety of businesses in multiple different industries. The applications of Quantum computing range from improving cancer treatments, predicting the stock market and climate modeling. The applications are projected to become feasible within the next decade so it is crucial for businesses to be aware of how quantum computing can affect their industry and be implemented into their business.

Our Mission:

The purpose of the Western Quantum Club (WQC) is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and work with quantum computers. Through a variety of consulting and software-based activities, the club aims to educate students on the current state of quantum computing and its potential applications.

Additionally, the club aims to foster a community of students who are interested in quantum computing and to create opportunities for them to connect with professionals in the field. With the knowledge and experience gained through their involvement with the club, students will be well-prepared to pursue industry-leading careers in quantum computing or related fields.
